The longest volcanic tunnel in the world!
With the eruptions of Mount Corona three to five thousand years ago, a stream of molten lava excavated the 7.5km Atlantida Tunnel. The guided walk underground lets us experience a 1km section of this, and exhibits different lights and colours in the rock formations along these naturally sculptured grottos. Historically, the local people hid from pirate invasions in a chamber known as ‘The Refuge’. During the year many concerts are performed in a chamber of the caves, especially during the music festival in October. Walk along a volcanic tunnel and discover a little magic.
